About Shantel!

Hey guys, my name is Shantel Sirard, and I am a passionate and ambitious fourteen-year-old writer. I have been writing for over five years, and I love it!

 

I love writing fiction and researching tons about how to make my writing better! One of my favorite parts of writing is designing and getting to know my characters. I love making them seem like they're real people who have real problems!! I find flawless characters a little annoying, because they're perfect. No flaws, no problems, gets basically everything right...you get what I mean? I want real characters. Ones that people can relate too!

Getting myself into other character's shoes helps a lot, and I can sometimes even feel how they feel, and it makes me think that I was them!
 

 

Along with writing, I also love swimming, hanging out with my friends, thinking about what I could write next, and eating chips! Through the years, I have taken many writing classes, researched TONS about writing, and even published a book!

I know that everyone can write, but it might take a little practice for some people! If we discover the talent we have inside of us, we can write amazing things!
